1. Question: Are pesticides safe?
Answer: yes, if formulated as per label directions, and applied only to locations as per label directions. Your operator will inform you or note on your invoice if he needs you to add additional safety measures before or after treatment is applied. Working together will keep your environment as safe as possible. Ex: Please keep your pets indoors until the pesticide is completely dry. However, if you decide to drink, shower with it, or use in improperly, you are sure to have some problems.

Answer: You need service that meets your comfort level. We live in Las Vegas, warm most of the time. Pest can and have learned to survive in these favorable conditions. Monthly service provides the best possible control of your pest. Monthly service also comes with a no charge return call. If you are slightly more tolerant about your pest control, then alternate month or quarterly service is available. Charged call backs on alternate and quarterly service. Remember, each service type has its own pricing. See services.

3. Question: I’m still seeing bugs and my operator was just here.
Answer: after treatments completed, you will notice an increase in activity due to the chemical forcing the insects to try and move to a safer location. If they’re running they’re dying. Insects don’t lay on their back for fun. If you find an insect on its back, it’s dying.

4. Question: Why do some pesticides smell and others don’t?
Answer: Today, chemicals are made with new active ingredients. These ingredients are from a synthetic base (made in a lab), and not from plant matter. However there are some plant matter products available. Synthetic pesticides have no odor or low odor because no odor was given to the product. Plant matter comes with a smell and is hard to eliminate from the product. The effectiveness of the product has nothing to do with the smell. Some of the best products made today have no smell.

5. Question: It’s raining, will it wash away or what?
Answer: Most products made today are water soluble. From SC & EC concentrates, wet-able powders, or granulated pesticides. Each product has different ways of holding up to the weather. SC & EC products have additives that help them to adhere to surfaces. SCs are designed to perform better in the rain and in above and below average temperatures. Wet-able powders are just that. You might notice a film or hazing due to the powder residual. They also have additives to help them adhere to surfaces. Granulated pesticides are normally used in conjunction with water. Therefore, granulated products work great in the rain.

10. Question: My service tech didn’t spray the meter box.
Answer: The local utility companies have made it illegal to treat the meter boxes that are located on the sidewalks or wherever they are located on your property. If you want treatment in these boxes (water, cable), you the home owner must call and get a written permit to treat said boxes. The cost of the permit is the responsibility of the home owner. It is our understanding that you can only acquire a permit twice a year. This does not include your sprinkler valve boxes. They are considered part of your property and therefore your responsibility.
